Olympics in London, the golden egg for disability arts organisations that never was...

As we were all looking forth to the Olympics coming to town, with the promise of lots of work for all of us! the result I realised last night after going to see Extant's Show "Sheer" made me realise that most companies won't be able to tour this summer as all disabled artists have been booked for the opening ceremonies of both shows.this means no one can take any booking because they have 30 to 40 days of rehearsals for each of the ceremonies ( we have people participating at both!).…See More

Cirque Nova @ Liberty Festival 2010 and recruiting young new people

We had an amazing time at Liberty's this year, because it was the first recognised disability Festival in which we performed a small part of our larger creation "Astral".Many of our volunteers/trainees and carers took part, and I am thankful to all of them for doing so, we were rewarded with lots of applause and fantastic feedback from Bradley Hemmings the organiser as well as by other companies, who all want to link up in some measure.Right now we're starting our new recruitment program in…See More

19th of June we will be performing at the Tottenham Festival in North London, parading in their Carnival parade along the high street, from 11am till 5 pm, in the afternoon we will be offering workshops for lacal children and children20th of June we will be performing at the Victoria Park Festival in Central London, as part of the Paradise Gardens Festival, within the Beautiful Octopus club. we will be recruiting 15 new volunteers to take part in our training in circus skills, as part of our Open Rehearsals day for the cultural Olympiad on the Saturday 25th of July 09.
