Define excellence. Therein lies the argument. Of course artists with disabilities are capable of excellence- but that means something different to almost everyone.

Here's an even harder question that I am particularly concerned with: Can artists with intellectual or developmental disabilities be capable of excellence?

Registrations are now open for Accessible Arts’ Arts-Activated Conference at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney over 25-26 March 2010. A range of national and international speakers from the arts and disability sectors will come together to explore the themes of Arts – Access – Excellence through a series of workshops, panels and performances.

EMOTION PICTURES FILM FESTIVAL ENTRIES NOW OPEN

The international documentary festival on disability EMOTION PICTURES is now open to new film entries. Please find attached the 2010 call for entries and entry form. Also, please note that the entry deadline is 28th February 2010 and that all entries must be documentary films on disability with a production date after 1/1/2006. This year, seven prizes will be presented, each one carrying a cash award.
