International Guild of Disabled Artists and Performers
The National Arts and Disability Center (NADC) at UCLA would like to invite artists with disabilities to create a new logo for our center. The NADC requests proposals for designs that will give a new graphic identity to the NADC. The logo should reflect the mission of the NADC and incorporate the initials or name of our center.
The mission of the National Arts and Disability Center (NADC) is to promote the inclusion of audiences and artists with disabilities in all facets of the arts community.” The NADC is a university based organization that has two major focuses: careers in the arts for people with disabilities and making the arts accessible to people with disabilities. Our major activities include technical assistance, training, and information dissemination to artists with disabilities, arts organizations, museums, arts administrators, disability organizations and agencies, performing arts organizations, art centers, universities, arts educators, and students.

There is no application fee to apply. Only one grand prize winner will be selected. Judging decisions are final and may not be appealed.
By entering this contest the artist hereby transfers and assigns all intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyright and trademark) to the NADC.
By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules and grant the NADC the right to publish, display, promote, broadcast and otherwise use their entries without further permission, notice, or compensation, or hereafter developed.
The logo must be clear and recognizable. The format should be in vector graphics (produced in Illustrator or a similar design software), with a .AI, .PS or .SVG format. If you need to scan your artwork please make sure to save it in a .PNG format, or a .PSD (Photoshop image). Please make sure to keep all files no larger than 5MB. Each artist may only submit up to 2 original logos for the contest. The artwork will not be returned and will become the property of the NADC.
This opportunity is open to visual artists with disabilities that reside in the United States.
There is a $300 award for the artist that wins this contest. By accepting the prize the winner agrees that the NADC is granted exclusive reproduction rights for advertising, promotion, print publication, and Internet purposes. The winning logo will become the official logo for the NADC. No additional monetary compensation will be granted once the award is processed.
January 10th, 2011. Logos submitted after this date will not be reviewed for this competition.
